Potosi is an unincorporated community in Taylor County, about nine miles south of Abilene along FM 1750. It's one of the fastest-growing parts of the area, going from 1,664 residents in 2000 to 3,947 in 2020, with new subdivisions still being built.
Wells in a growing area
Many Potosi homes get water from the local water supply corporation, but larger tracts and properties outside service lines often use private wells for the house, livestock, landscaping or a shop. If you're building on acreage, a well quote early in the planning process helps you budget accurately.
